Guys, I'm sure Fisher House is a great Charity. So is the ALS Chapter I sent $100 yesterday. And so is the child in Uganda I have sponsored for years. And so is my church.

Are you getting my point yet? This ain't a charity thread or forum. There are thousands of good causes out there. To allow soliciting for your favorite would not be fair to others who feel theirs is even more deserving.

I can think of a new nickname for you....

Uffda, realize that this was put together in the memory of one of the pillars of this forum.

No, I did not see any connection of Fisher House to this giveaway or to Army Chief. It appeared to be an out of the blue solicitation to an admittedly worth charity--ordinary thread drift. If I had seen any context, I would never have posted. I am heartily sorry for seeming insensitive to the memory of Army Chief.

I admired AC on the other M4 site for a couple years before his passing. He gave me and so many others good advice and was a role model for wisdom, faith and great writing. I have donated several times to help his family.
