Anyone seen the Ruger American Ranch in stores yet?
Just curious if anyone has seen these in the wild yet, I've had a couple of dealers watching for them for close to 2 months now and no dice. I've only seen one guy on the interwebz who has gotten his grubby hands on one. I'm specifically on the lookout for the 6970 (compact) version.
Any luck?Let my last thought not be, "if only I had my gun..."

Edit, after a brief google foo , found a couple guys who have just got one, prices were 389 and 399 plus tax..

I bet once they become readily available the prices will come down below the $400 mark. Other Ruger Americans are available locally for $330 and up, so I figure prices should settle to about $370. I'm dying to get my hands on one.
At only 5.8lbs its one of the lightest short action centerfire bolt guns out there for under $800 or so... I've done some number crunching and it can possibly come in under 7.5lbs loaded with a Leupold 2-7x33, Talley mounts, a Harvester, Uncle Mikes swivels and a Galco sling. Yes please.Let my last thought not be, "if only I had my gun..."

That's a slick looking little rifle especially for those of us in Pennsylvania where you can hunt with a suppressor but not semi auto firearms

Finally found a LGS to order one for me with a deposit. No ETA, but price will be $390 out the door.
The race is on to see whether the dealer can get his hands on a Ruger by the time the tax stamp comes back for my HarvesterLet my last thought not be, "if only I had my gun..."

Dealer just called and I'll have it Tuesday, price went up though from what I was told originally. Now $399+ tax making it ~$420 out the door... I know I could save $30-$40 if I wait another six months or so but who wants to wait?

Next time I'm at our one and only LGS I'll ask them about it. I know they don't have one.
