Thread: If you were rich...

Geez guys...here are some facts...if you get just 5% combined inteterest and you pay the max tax rate (states may vary) but that would leave you post tax with a net $2.5 million a month to blow...and that's not even touching the principle in any way...
I think spending a couple million PER MONTH would require a bit of creativity after a while.

Of course I do realize a couple things....I would most definitely give money away but I would be careful how I did it. Just handing out money isn't always the best thing. Pay for school...pay off someone's debts....make a job for someone...I think working for something makes people feel value for themselves and to have more self worth. But honestly after about a year I don't know that I would want any more.
But I would be very careful in creating trust fund babies....in a lot of cases it turns out bad...
But I'm trying to keep it fun here....LOL

It would be nice to be super wealthy obviously. No worries about money and financially free... but I really don't have too many wants.
I might purchase a Rolex Submariner for me and the old man. That's about it.

First, a ranch in Wyoming with a 1000 yd range. Next, HK MP5SD, Scar 17, HK416, a few other custom AR builds, ww2 Luger, K98k Mauser, and M1 Garand. Colt SAA. After that a 50 cal, then probably round off with a couple dozen modern pistols. Then I'd go to sleep and figure out what to do on day two.

I'd buy lots of property, lots of physical gold, lots of cool cars, and lots of NFA items. Probably get the wife some shiney stuff, chicks dig shiney stuff.

I would spend my money restoring world peace and goodwill toward men. I would end wars forever, and buy a buy a copy of Obama's and Hillary's memoirs for anyone who wanted one.
BULLSHIT! I'd buy myself a new Lamborhini ! I'd throw hundred dollar bills at the cops out of the window while they tried to catch me. And SCREW world peace, it's highly overrated.

Short list:
House in the mountains
House on a lake
Pleasure boat
Bass boat
Dirt bikes and four wheelers
A Maserati
A few trucks
Invest in some things to make all that money back
Take care of my family for life
Only then would I begin to think about guns
Then when I have everything else I want, I'd buy a lifetime supply of dobyns fishing rods and all the latest reels for on them, and spend the summers on the lake, winters on the mountain skiing.

Someone wants to be a Lord of War

Some things that I can think of off the top of my head:
First and foremost: an M1A1 Thompson (none of that 1928 crap) .... or maybe 10 of them
10 unicorns (Magpul lowers)
At least one of each correct-grade M1 Garand made by each company
Willies Jeep
STG44
Trijicon ACOG
AN/PEQ-15 (because, why not)
UH-1 Iroquois
Buy Stickman's photography service
Ammo ... a lot of it
Fix the education system - $60k/year for college

No. Just no.
and probably buy (sponsor) a couple politicians
Large enough plod of land that I could put a range in my backyard
Some exotic pickles for GOST
Dictionary for Luis
Nikon D3X for UW
Oh ... and ummm figure out a way to fix ignorance ...Last edited by Thompson; 5 December 2014 at 21:30.
