Howdy!!
Howdy Folks!!!
Just found the site and thought I'd check it out... Very nice!!! Especially the section on my favorite.... The 6.8SPC!!! If fact, way back when, it was PauloSantos that was a huge help in getting me started in the 6.8!! Now, a while later, I'm hooked!!! Now a proud owner of a precision AR and a registered SBR, both chambered in 6.8!
Well times a wasting! So much to see and here I am just typin' away...
See ya on the boards!!

Hey! FNG here. Stopping in to say hello. I have been reading this site for quite sometime but just decided to sign up. Lots of good info without all the "other stuff."

Been a member here for a little bit now. Livin in the great state of KY---there is very little snow on the ground. Apparently we're having a white Christmas though :)

Hello all!
Hello, long time lurker, recent joiner. I've been learning a great deal from everyone here. I'm planning an AR build for this summer, and the site and everyone's insights have been invaluable! I would be considered a geek in most circles, with no LE or MIL experience, but I grew up in southern Indiana and so have owned a few firearms. Now I've got the AR/M4 itch!

PS: I consider stick's photos as....hmm can't think of the right words! Can I describe them as porn?Last edited by garlicb; 9 December 2009 at 21:47. Reason: Adding a few details.

Hello everyone. Thank you for having me on your forum.
I'm a civilian with a strong interest in mechanical things. I started out with auto mechanics and eventually made my way to firearms, then specifically to the AR platform. I've been building ARs for about 10 years now.
I have no military or police background, but I do enjoy shooting and building ARs is one of my favorite hobbies. With little time to shoot and no practical use I have relied heavily on the internet to gather information.
I'd like to thank the members of this forum for helping educate me in the practical aspects of the AR. This is by far the most straightforward, no-bs forum I've seen.
I'd like to thank Stickman in particular for your gorgeous photos. I learn by watching so your detailed images have been instrumental in my education.
I've been hesitant to talk about my interest in guns on the internet simply because it's such a devisive topic nowadays, but I've decided to "come out of the closet" so to speak, and finally quit lurking ;-)
Take it easy,
Dave

Indiana checking in...
Hi guys, new guy from Indiana here. Just recently decided to get my first AR and am in the process of collecting all the parts for my project. Looks like you guys have a really nice forum here, all the great info leaves few questions that need asked actually. But Im sure I will think of some somewhere along the way.

Hello everyone. Been a lurker here for half of forever. Every time I would do a search for anything AR related I would almost invariably be directed here. Finally decided to join.
I'm mostly just a gun nut and firearm enthusiast with a little bit of Army, competition, and retail experience under my belt.
