Got my Razor back from Vortex so I mounted back on the gun today...then I realized it looked like it was wearing plaid with all the colors. So after about 25 minutes of work, it got a new look. It still needs some wear to blend everything in, though.

Its a weird mindset, and not a dig at all, and I feel the same way. I see rifle after rifle that is sporting a homespun paintjob, ala rattle cans, but there ain't no effin' way that shit's touching a 2k-3k optic!

I keep seeing these Nightforce Nx8’s and ATACR’s, makes me wonder is I made the right choice with my Kahles!
Black optic looks good. So does camo. Then again my only camo gun also has bright red racing stripes...-One Nation, Under God

ATACRs are awesome, but man they're heavy!

I think I've mentioned it before, but I tend not to paint my "high-dollar" optics that I could easily sell. This became more of an active decision after I retired from the military and wasn't guaranteed a paycheck twice a month. Fast-forward to now where I've been unemployed for the last 3 weeks and my previous employer had paycheck payment issues, and it reaffirms that mindset.
Of course I have savings, but if it's between a gun part or putting food on the table, I know where my priorities are. Thankfully that isn't a concern currently and I'll be employed again in a couple of days.
If it was a work component, then heck yeah, spray away.
They do different things, so it's all on what you want. For me, a usable graduated mil reticle that can be put on various different kinds of guns was a priority. But the Kahles is definitely a nice scope!
They weigh the same as a Razor HD 2 or HD3. I just wish the dot was a little brighter.
