Thread: Stupid Expensive Glock 19 Build

Yeah the barrel/comp combo on the NOC is pretty sick.
Progress update: I've spent a couple hours each day for the past 3-4 days destroying a couple ban state Glock mags for research purposes and I've created an entirely new texture pattern as well as a couple proprietary frame mod methods.
I'll post some WIPs of the process so yall can get a glimpse of what goes into it, but you can count on me leaving some stages out for opsec purposes.

Rough contouring of the trigger guard and finger grooves is coming along nicely. I'm going to cut out the dremelling for the night so I don't bother the occupants of the apartments next door.
It's amazing how much this single modification to the trigger guard has changed the appearance already.

Not a full shot of the frame, but I wanted to show off the polish on the underside of the trigger guard.
You'll also note the index cutouts that I have yet to name.
I've got almost all the surface prep done and I'm almost ready to start texturing.
19hrs of labor and counting.

Dude. For real, when you getting your FFL? I need work done! Lol.
I laugh but I'm totally being serious.Last edited by Aragorn; 1 February 2016 at 16:24.

If I didn't "travel" 300 days out of the year then I'd already have it. The more gun work I do, the more I realize it's part of my calling. Texture work on this frame is ~80% done and my new texture is definitely on new level above what I've done in the past.
I'm tempted to post WIPs right now but the future certainty of getting an FFL and doing this professionally (in some capacity) means I should protect this part of the process.

BC, I love your stipple work more than most "professionals"
What Suppressor sights are you using? I ordered some standard Trijicon sights, since I'm going to use a RMR, but I like those sights.

Do these whet your appetite?
27 hours of labor on the frame, all told. I still haven't decided what to call this texture pattern. Its not quite stippling anymore. Its something else. I'm still looking for a name for my version of what Agency calls the accelerator cut.
Its the most comfortable Glock I've ever touched.
Frame mods that ended up on this gun:
Minor frontstrap reduction
Reduced finger grooves
Minimalist magwell cuts
Thumb groove/web contour
Glove bevel
Medium mag release bevel
Recessed stippling borders
Index cut outs, (Speed shelf)
Brand new texture pattern, name pending
Complete trigger guard recontour
High grade polish

BC, Can you do a pattern, something like this? I like Piece Keeper Custom's stippling looks.

I'm speechless...no BS, that is hands down the cleanest, most professional looking texture job I've ever seen. Hats off to you, BC.

Absolutely. That type of stippling is what we refer to as chaos stippling. That's a pretty refined version of it, but its essentially the first method attempted by anyone getting into stippling.
I can do it, but I've moved away from chaos stippling enough that my IG page bears the mantra "No Chaos in Perfection". My perfectionism makes me seek out more ordered patterns because they require far more skill to master.
I employed that texture method with the goal of increasing grip, but keeping rough/scratchiness at a minimum. It doesn't grab ANY fibers from my shirt or undershirt.
