https://aeroprecisionusa.com/m4e1-st...zed-black.html
This item is on pre-sale. Anticipated ship date is no later than 10/16/17. Orders will be shipped in the order that they are received.
The M4E1 Lower Receiver delivers billet aesthetics in a forged package. This custom designed enhanced forging is machined from 7075-T6 Aluminum and compatible with all mil-spec AR15 parts. Aside from the visual upgrades this custom engineered design provides that challenge much more expensive billet options, we have added several functional features to the lower receiver to simplify the assembly process for the at home builder.
M4E1 Lower Receiver Improvements:
Threaded Bolt Catch Roll Pin - Allows for simple installation of the bolt catch and virtually eliminates the chance to damage the finish during installation (pin included).
Integrated Trigger Guard - Eliminates the possibility of breaking the trigger guard tabs by integrating the trigger guard into the lower, creating a stronger more rigid platform to build upon.
Upper Tension Screw - Allows users to fine tune the fit of the upper and lower receiver using a nylon tipped tensioning set screw inserted in the grip tang of the lower receiver. This provides a tight fit with any standard AR15 upper receiver.
Threaded Takedown Pin Detent Recess - Allows user to easily install the Takedown Pin detent and spring with the use of a 4-40 set screw (no more launching detents across the room).
Increased Magwell Flare - Increased the flare of the magwell to aid in quick and efficient magazine changes.

Really excited about these. The threaded takedown and bolt catch pins and the nicer aesthetics are definitely worth the extra cost IMO. Wonder how cheap these will be with some of their dealers?

The want is strong for the price. May need to get one and put my standard aero lower in storage.
Doesn’t look like much of a fence around the front of the mag button. Could just be the angle of the photo.

I like it the shape, but not the cutouts in the trigger guard.

I'm in the no trigger guard cutout club as well. However, the rest of the lower is very nice and at an attractive price as well.

Did you guys see Clint Smith's AR15s with the cutouts in the mag well?
If it's for styling or uniqueness, I say the lower looks great as it is, and needs no 2015 era fads that some are still clinging to. To me, it only says they're trying too hard, it's not necessary, the lower is instantly recognizable with its triangular shapes throughout, it's consistent and quite very well done (with the exception of the hipster trigger guard).
Simplicity is elegance, sometimes more is too much.Last edited by Duffy; 2 October 2017 at 15:31.

Aero Precision M4E1 Lower Receiver
I saw his review when they were in pre-order. He said the cutouts were good for clearing dirt. These rifles are not fashion rifles. Even the Era3 “Clint” rifle with cutouts was based on what he said he’d want in an AR. They just happened to produce it and hand him one (per our conversation). While the Era3 is in part a fashion rifle, the cutout there may have been a practical choice too.
I see no purpose in the trigger guard cutout on an Aero. I do on a 2A.
