With the adjustable gas block, intermediate gas system, H buffer, and suppressor, there is virtually zero recoil from this rifle. Hardly more than a .22lr and that’s no exaggeration. By far my favorite rifle I’ve got....I moved the Vortex 2.5-10x32 back to it and relegated the 4-20x50 scope to load testing and for when I go prairie dog hunting out west. The 4-20 was just too big and I wasn’t using the rifle very much outside of load testing. Now it’s much more practical and tags along with me frequently. I think a Cerakote job is in its future

I had the rail off and halfass tried to get it today, but the damn barrel nut ain't budging. I gotta get a new one before I send it to Kris, so it'll be his problem. I'll drop the old port door in with the notes.

Risers are the new hotness. Cloning is often cited for reasons for doing it, but running NODs or just getting your shooting position a little more vertical is the intent.

I kind of chuckle about it now. At one point, I ran my Elcan on a 1/2" riser before it was cool to do on Facebook. There's even a few pics of it here on the site. I was mocked for it by a buddy of mine (who is a very good shooter and actually very open-minded about performance enhancement). Fast-forward 6 months and everyone is running risers or 1.93" mounts...and finally KAC comes out with their Skyscraper mount (which after only shouldering but not shooting it, I thought was very nice).
