Lucid HD7 Red Dot Scope

Just built an Ar 15 for my father in law and am looking for a good not too expensive red dot for him, a friend of mine suggested the Lucid HD7 Red Dot Scope. Ive read some reviews on it and it appears to be a descent optic, does anyone on here have first hand experience with this optic? Any other suggestions would be awesome, I on the other hand use scopes and dont know much about red dot scopes..Thanks
