New gear for me. Battery is charging, killing me with the wait......The old XTi is relegated to back up duties now.
T5i and Canon 24-105mm f/4 L. 42nd Street Photo is blowing the L lens out right now @ 700 bucks.

Nice !!!
I think the 24-105mm lens is the best all around L series for the money. $700 is a fricken steal.

Thanks, and thanks for all the help in the decision making....!
I keep hearing amazing things, and seeing amazing pics with this lens, and this fit the bill, especially for that price. I just had to go for it....
I stuck with the crop sensor sized camera because I love my Sigma 30mm f/1.4 so much, and that's for APS/C only.

While I was told USA warranty, it is in the "White Box" packaging, not retail box. Jerry R's experience today leads me to believe it may be a grey market lens, but that doesn't really bother me, where it might get some. Same lens. Canon took my registration though....
Between the camera and this lens, I just hopped on a steep learning curve, but so far the few test shots have been "WOW"

Here's a test shot unedited save for Lens Profile Correction and Remove CA in LR5 and a conversion to jpeg.
This is the lake in my front yard, and the cabin across from me.
