This is my 1911 .45. The black mother of pearl grips were made by a retired US Marine in Georgia. It's not a top end .45, but it's mine, it's accurate and I always have it close by. I never miss with my .45 thanks to the US Navy.

Oh man, that's awesome! I went flying down the stairs shouting at my wife I won and she says "is this that giveaway of gun stuff that's been shared all over your facebook lately? And does this mean you want to build a new rifle??"

Since it was the Veteran's Day giveaway, I spent just shy of 10 years (04-13) in the Army as an Infantryman. I deployed twice to Iraq spending right at 24 months there and spent 2.5 years as a drill sergeant. I missed out on the E7 board becsuse I was medically retired due to continually worsening back problems after getting hurt during my first deployment. I miss it everyday and wish I was still in!
